Sooner or later, every girl will want to know how to tell if a guy likes you. It can be pretty intimidating to be face to face with a guy you’re crushing on and wonder if he likes you back or not.

But boys aren’t really all that hard to read if you know what to look for. There are telltale signs you can use to tell if a guy likes you or not. Once you know what to look for, it all becomes easy!

The first and most obvious sign is that he is near you as much as possible. I’m not only talking about sitting next to you and stuff, but just being around. Remember that guys can be shy too, and being around you all the time is a huge sign that the guy likes you.

If he’s changing plans to hang out with you, or is inviting you along, then that’s definitely a big sign. This may mean including you in his hobbies and activities, inviting you to watch him play sports, and that sort of thing.

Sometimes a guy who doesn’t really know what to do around a girl will pick some strange ways to show that he likes her. Some guys will go overboard with teasing and picking on a girl because they don’t know what else to do. So if this is happening to you, don’t worry, that is often a good sign!

If he finds excuses to touch you, like on your arm or on your back, then that’s a huge sign that the guy likes you. Likewise you’ll find him making excuses to talk to you, or prolong conversations with you. Even talking about silly stuff just to have an excuse. I never did that…Or did I?

The best way to tell if a guy likes you is to watch his eyes. They say the eyes are a window to the soul, and if your crush is making eye contact and holding it, then that is a total sign that he’s into you. His gaze may be intense, or you may see a smile in his eyes, but that eye contact is the key sign that he likes you.

Nine Ways To Use Body Language To Tell If A Guy Likes You

The most foolproof way to find out if a guy likes you is to use body language. Now girls are masters of body language, and most men have a hard time reading it. But that doesn’t stop them from using it, even if they don’t even know what they’re doing.

Here’s a list of the nine most common ways a guy will show his interest in you without saying a word:

The Eyebrow Lift – When we see someone we dig, we will unconsciously lift our eyebrows briefly, letting them fall back. This whole thing takes about a fifth of a second, so we don’t even notice. Since it’s so quick, you have to be looking for it as soon as he sees you or you’ll miss it.

Parting His Lips – If he likes you, when you first make eye contact you’ll notice his lips slightly parting just for a moment. Another tell tale sign that the guy likes you, but once again you have to be quick!

Flaring Nostrils – It sounds kinda weird, but if his nostrils flare, combined with the eyebrow lift and parting lips, his face opens up and looks more friendly. All done by his body without thought. Definitely a good sign!

Grooming – Guys and girls both do this, but when he sees you, if he likes you he will check his clothes, his hair, and make sure everything is in order. It’s a total mating ritual, and it’s a dead giveaway.

He Tries To Get Your Attention – He may turn into a clown, or be loud, or try to get your attention in any other way. It’s the old grade school showing off that we all used to do.

He’ll Check You Out (And Let You See It!) – If he likes you, he’s already checked out your body as soon as he saw you. You just didn’t notice! But lots of guys will do it again, a little more obviously, to make sure you notice that he likes what he sees!

He Stands Erect – Get your mind out of the gutter! What I mean is that he’ll stand up straight, chest out a bit, with muscles pulled in tight. This is like animals preening in nature, and a guy just can’t help it. He’ll also lean in a little to get into your personal space. Let him!

He Sits With His Legs Open – A guy who sits with his legs open is showing that he’s open to you and likes you. It’s another one of those age old preening displays that makes him take up more space than he normally does.

He Guides You With His Touch – If you’re walking around, or getting through a crowd, he’ll give you his arm or guide you with a hand on the small of your back. It’s a display of ownership and shows other guys that he’s laying claim to you. It’s also something that indicates that he knows what he wants and is taking charge. Always a good thing!

How To Tell If A Guy Likes You With Four Easy Signals

Let’s talk about how to tell if a guy likes you using these four tell-tale signs. Nobody likes to be rejected, so before you make your move on your crush, or show him that you want him, be sure that he wants you too!

Biologically speaking, we are programmed to do certain things when we are attracted to someone. Here’s four signs that indicate that there’s attraction. If you see all four, you’re totally in!

First Sign: Raised Shoulders

If a guy likes you, he’ll sometimes raise his shoulders a bit. It softens his body stance and shows a ‘cute’ side. If you see this, then he wants you to be close, so get in there and put your hand on his arm and show him a little interest in return!

Second Sign: Pigeon Toes

It sounds totally weird, but pigeon toes (standing with your toes pointing in a little bit) is another body stance softener. Some guys don’t do this much, but you’ll still see if in some. Just like raising shoulders, this is a sign that he wants to be near you but may be a little too shy to make the first move.

Third Sign: Palms Up!

When a guy likes you, he’ll naturally gesture with his hands in such a way that his palms are up. And when he sets his hands down on the table, they’ll be open. This signals his openness to touch and interest in you. It’s a signal of his compliance and his interest in you complying with him!
